ISIMIP stands for the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (isimip.org). The project coordinates modelling groups to run simulations of the past and of future climate scenarios according to shared protocols. This enables the simulated impacts of climate change to be compared in order to grow our understanding and work out where models need to be improved. ISIMIP is made up of a variety of sectors such as water, fire, permafrost and most recently, peat! MOTHERSHIP has been involved in setting-up and coordinating this new sector and protocol. In addition, we have been organising modelling workshops to share best practice and review the current state of the art in peatland modelling.
